Introduction

The purpose of this graphic guide is to help users reproduce the BCA emblem correctly. The basic standards for the construction of this emblem are given below and the standard colors are indicated.

Symbolic description

Against a background of blue sky, with a crown of golden laurels and the symbol of Auricoin in the middle, the crown of laurels signifies the triumph of Humanity over the economy and the symbol represents the name that was given in Latin to gold (radiant sunrise) and the two stripes in the middle signify economic stability.

Heraldic description

On a blue field, the symbol in the golden middle, wrapped in a golden laurel wreath.

Geometric description

The emblem consists of a rectangular blue flag, the length of which is three-half its width. A golden laurel wreath equidistant from an imaginary laurel wreath, the center of which is at the point of intersection of the diagonals of the rectangle. The radius of the laurel wreath is equal to one third of the width of the flag. The laurel wreath is inscribed in an imaginary circle whose radius is equal to one eighteenth of the width of the flag. The laurel wreath in a central position, that is, with the leaves directed upwards. The arrangement of the laurel wreath with the symbol corresponds to that of the laurel wreath and its meaning is that Humanity is triumphant in the economy.

Four-color reproduction

When printing in four-color process, the two standard colors are not available, so they must be obtained from the four colors of the four-color process.

Monochrome reproduction

If black is the only available color you must delimit the surface of the rectangle with a black border and stamp the symbol, also in black, on a white background.

In case the only color available is blue (it is essential that it is Reflex Blue), this will be used as a 100% background color, and the symbol will be reproduced in white negative.

Reproduction on colored backgrounds

The emblem should preferably be reproduced on a white background. Multi-colored backgrounds should be avoided, especially those that do not go well with blue. When it is not possible to avoid a colored background, the emblem rectangle shall be surrounded with a white border equal to one 25th of the height of the rectangle.

Employment by third parties

The BCA Administrative Council has established the principles governing the use of the BCA emblem by third parties in an administrative agreement.

According to this agreement, any natural or legal person ("user") can use the BCA emblem or any of its elements as long as such use:

• do not give the impression or presumption that there is a relationship between the user and any of the institutions, entities, offices, agencies and bodies, when there is no such relationship;
• does not lead the public to believe that the user receives help or sponsorship, or has the approval or consent of the BCA when this is not the case;
• does not relate to objectives or activities that are incompatible with the objectives and principles of the BCA or that are illegal.

If the BCA emblem is used in compliance with the conditions stated above, it is not necessary to request written authorization to do so.

The registration of the BCA emblem or heraldic imitations of it as a trademark or as any other intellectual property right are not allowed.
